The Trane CenTraVac™ Chillers, winner of the Grand Award of Green Building Award 2019 and certified product in the CIC Green Product Certification - HK G-PASS, enhance the indoor and neighbourhood environmental quality in mega malls, Grade A office buildings and luxury hotels of their clients.  Managed by the Swire Properties, Trane Hong Kong’s business partner, Citygate Outlets is an outstanding example of the Hong Kong Green Shop Alliance (HKGSA)’s member mall as it is one of the awarded projects of the Association of Energy Engineers Award 2019 won by Trane Hong Kong last year.

 

As mentioned in Trane Hong Kong’s video, “Climate Action Plan: New Era of Adopting Trane CenTraVac™ Chillers @R514A”, Citygate Outlets is the very first shopping mall adopting Trane CenTraVac™ Chillers together with the next-gen green refrigerant, R514A in Hong Kong to enjoy ultra-high performance (COP 6.3) and low emission.  Moreover, the cooling capacity will be increased by 26%, from 2,300TR to 2,900TR, and the annual energy consumption is estimated to be decreased by 18%, which means saving about 1,000,000 kWh per year.

 

Trane Hong Kong has also taken part in Citygate Outlets’ new extension by the provision of the performance air handlers to the F&B outlets, outlet stores and cinema of its new extension; and the fan coil units to 200 luxury rooms of the new boutique hotel (which is directly connected to Citygate Outlets).  Most importantly, Citygate Outlets has been awarded with the “Final Platinum Rating - BEAM Plus Existing Building V2.0 (Comprehensive Scheme A)”, which means a lot to Trane Hong Kong being a long-term business partner with the Swire Properties.
