Managed by Hong Yip Service Company Limited, Tsuen Wan Plaza (Shopping Arcade) is dedicated to upholding the company’s commitment to environmental protection and places a high emphasis on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues. The Mall continually promotes innovation to achieve sustainable development goals and strives for self-improvement to ensure its operations positively impact both society and the environment.

Waste Recycling Promotion

To support and promote waste recycling, the Mall collaborates with the Environmental Protection Department, implementing smart recycling bins in its L5 Play Garden to raise social awareness of green management. Also, the Mall actively participates in environmental activities and has partnered with CLP to establish the "Smart Energy Saving Kiosk" which incentivises the public to save electricity. This initiative provides a venue for CLP to promote its "Summer Saver Rebate Programme”. Within just two months, over 7,000 people have utilised the service, demonstrating Tsuen Wan Plaza's efforts in promoting energy conservation.

Green Technology

Tsuen Wan Plaza has started using digital signage to reduce paper usage. In line with its commitment to environmental protection, the Mall has gradually replaced traditional ceiling hangs in key areas with digital ceiling hangs, promoting eco-friendliness while also advertising the Mall’s facilities in a clear manner, thus achieving a dual win.

The Mall also employs an Internet of Things (IoT) smart system, using the self-developed Intellinet 4.0 application to remotely monitor Mall facilities, including lighting, air conditioning and alarm systems. After a recent toilet renovation, the Mall implemented an environmental monitoring system that connects the real-time status of each cubical to the internet, allowing for immediate access to environmental information. Not only does this help improve air quality and hygiene, it also promotes social welfare and showcases responsible governance.
