Landmark North – Setting a New Standard for Green Property Management

As a member of Sun Hung Kai Properties, Kai Shing Management Services Limited (Kai Shing) has always adhered to its parent company’s concept of sustainable development, and spared no effort to promote ESG and green management. In addition to delivering thoughtful and professional services, it has also taken the initiative to introduce green and eco-friendly elements into various aspects of its operations such as management, design and promotion. Landmark North, which is managed by Kai Shing, has been actively promoting carbon neutrality and sustainability, with achievements that have been widely recognised by the industry.
MSW Pilot Scheme
In anticipation of Municipal Solid Waste Charging (MSW Charging), which will be implemented in Hong Kong soon, Landmark North launched an “MSW Charging Pilot Scheme” in 2021 to give tenants a mock-up experience of the policy’s operation, even distributing mock bills on a monthly basis. Landmark North also helped its tenants to review their practices, such as separation of waste to increase the recycled portion, thus reducing their MSW Charging expenses.
Low Carbon Living Pavilion
Following the unveiling of Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050 to combat climate change and achieve carbon neutrality, Landmark North set up a “Low Carbon Living Pavilion” to promote and encourage citizens to adopt a low-carbon lifestyle in everyday life. The pavilion has six themed rooms to educate citizens on how to fully integrate low-carbon habits into their daily lives, and work together towards carbon neutrality.
Looking ahead, Kai Shing is committed to continuing its sustainable green property management by adhering to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, deepening its environmental management efforts, implementing sustainable development strategies, engaging with the community, and working with all stakeholders to create a more prosperous, inclusive, and peaceful future for the next generation.
