Olympian City – Cultivating a Sustainable Retail Future

Olympian City is committed to building a green shopping environment to promote environmental protection concepts to the community and help achieve a sustainable society. It actively promotes and utilises innovative technologies to study different environmental protection projects.

STEM Lab

Olympian City cooperates with STEM Lab to compile environmental teaching materials and organise innovative technology competitions to enhance children’s environmental awareness. The shopping mall also provides training and arranges study tours for schools and non-profit organisations, helping to further enhance environmental awareness in the community.

Artificial Intelligence PlantPRO for the Air-Conditioning System

Last year, Olympian City introduced artificial intelligence PlantPro in its air conditioning system, which uses big data analysis combined with comprehensive automatic remote controls to optimise the efficiency of the chiller. With this enhanced air-conditioning system, the shopping mall not only provides customers with a comfortable shopping environment, it also reduces energy consumption.

Intelligent Recycling System

To promote public participation in waste recycling, the mall has cooperated with the Environmental Protection Department to launch the first phase of an intelligent recycling system. This new system will operate 24 hours a day, so the public can donate waste materials at their convenience. The mall also provides plastic and styrofoam recycling services to its tenants, with recycled waste reused as other products such as EcoBricks and barrier covers to promote a circular economy.

Green Hub

In addition to the utilisation of technology, Olympian City is proactively encouraging the public to reduce waste through its Green Hub book exchange programme. Everyone who donates books to the Green Hub also receives an S+ award to redeem a set of recycled cutlery. The mall likewise organises a variety of recycling activities, such as for toys, stationery and board games, all of which have proven very popular in the neighbourhood.
