Taking Actions to Achieve a Sustainable Future
Tam Jai International strives to be a leader in responsible business practices. It is committed to actively driving sustainability through its actions and strategic initiatives.
First Climate Disclosure Report
Tam Jai’s first Climate Disclosure Report was launched together with its 2023/24 ESG Report, which outlined the company’s progress and efforts under three core pillars of sustainability – “Nourishing Communities”, “Uplifting People”, and “Preserving Nature”. By voluntarily including its inaugural Climate Disclosure Report, the company further enhanced the transparency of its climate-related efforts. Click here to view the full report.
Working Closely with Stakeholders to Promote Sustainable Development
Tam Jai is dedicated to incorporating sustainability considerations into its procurement practices, and is actively seeking more sustainable options to empower customers in making environmentally conscious choices. Its SamGor's Fish Bean Curd, TamJai’s Crisp Grass Carp, and two of its fish soup bases (Pickled Pepper & Pickles Fish Soup and Coriander & Century Egg Fish Soup) are WWF-certified. Tam Jai also encourages customers to adopt reusable cutlery, and it rolled out a second wave of eco-friendly cutlery and straws in collaboration with local artists THE WEIRD THINGS.
In 2024, Tam Jai donated over 32,000 kg of surplus food, equivalent to more than 80,000 meals, to charitable organisations such as Feeding Hong Kong, Food Angel, and Foodlink. These collaborations not only allow Tam Jai to make good use of its resources, but also deliver a sense of care to the underprivileged.
Working Closely with Stakeholders to Promote Sustainable Development
To further promote its commitment to sustainability, Tam Jai created a sustainability video series for staff members covering six topics relevant to the business. These bite-sized videos feature the company’s classic “Jeh Jeh” and include the CEO and management team in some scenes, communicating that sustainability is not just a top-down approach—it can only be achieved together with all frontline staff.
