General Points to Note:

All entrants are required to submit green showcases or collaborative projects implemented in their malls or shops between 1 August 2024 and 30 June 2026.
Entries from previous editions of the HKGSA Award scheme are eligible for resubmission, provided they showcase notable advancements and improved sustainability outcomes during the period stated above.
Malls and shops are encouraged to submit entries for both the Green Mall / Shop of the Year and Collaborative Project of the Year categories.
All entries should be submitted through the Online Submission Form in either English or Chinese. The submission deadline is 31 July 2026 (Friday).
Award submissions are free of charge.

Submission Content

Each submission is required to describe green measures in one or more of the specific areas listed below. Please note that the points provided are for illustrative purposes. Participants are encouraged to include any additional measures that demonstrate sustainability excellence.

Energy Management

- Retrofitting and retrocomissioning measures
- Lighting solutions
- Application of innovative technologies
- Use of renewable energy

Waste Management
- Waste management strategies and planning
- Source reduction measures
- Recycling, reuse and circular practices
- Stakeholder engagement across the value chain
- Food waste collection and recycling
- Smart waste management technologies

Carbon Management
- Carbon reduction road map and goals
- Application of green and intelligent building design
- Operations and logistics optimisation
- Use and provision of sustainable products or services
- Green tenancy initiatives
- Supply chain management and supplier engagement programme

ESG Practices
- ESG governance and transparency
- Holistic measures that deliver synergistic benefits across ESG goals
