PORT 33 – Driving a Sustainable Shopping Environment through Everyday Green Practices
PORT 33 is a mixed‑use development comprising a shopping arcade and a Grade‑A office tower. The management team believes that a green shopping environment is shaped not only by architectural design, but also by everyday operations, tenant collaboration and visitor participation. Guided by this vision, PORT 33 continues to embed sustainability into its daily operations through waste reduction, resource conservation and green communication.
Waste Management
Sorting and recycling facilities are provided in lobbies and common areas to collect paper, plastics, metals, glass and batteries, making source separation convenient for tenants and visitors. During festive seasons, the management team also organises a mooncake box recycling campaign to encourage tenants to properly separate reusable and recyclable materials, reduce seasonal waste and promote circular use within the building community.
Water Stewardship
PORT 33 operates a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation and selected daily uses, such as toilet flushing. This is effective in reducing fresh water consumption and demonstrates sound water management practices.
Ongoing Green Operations
The management team also implements energy saving measures by reviewing lighting and building services during non peak periods, further enhancing energy efficiency in day to day operations.
Looking ahead, PORT 33 will continue to integrate sustainability into the shopping arcade and office tower environment through property management, tenant participation and environmental initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to build a greener and more responsible community.
