Assessment

1. Preliminary Assessment

All information submitted by the participants will be reviewed according to the assessment criteria of the Award. The Organiser will then shortlist the finalists for the Final Assessment.


2. Final Assessment

Shortlisted finalists will be invited to the Final Assessment for a face-to-face presentation on their submitted cases to the Judging Panel, followed by a Q&A session. The Judging Panel is comprised of distinguished representatives from the Organiser, government departments, industry associations, professional bodies and supporting organisations, etc. The Judging Panel reserves the right to make the final decision.


Judging Criteria

Green Mall / Shop of the Year (Category 1 & 2)
 
Environmental Effectiveness & Impact
30%
Demonstration of strategic objectives and quantifiable results across specific areas, including Energy Efficiency, Waste Reduction, Carbon Management, ESG Excellence, and Other Relevant Green Measures. Assessment is based on the comprehensiveness of the initiatives and their ability to deliver long-term effects that transcend standard industry practices.
  • Implementation (15%): Evaluation of the planning and execution of green measures, assessing their comprehensiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Impact and Outcomes (15%): Evaluation of environmental outcomes, which should be supported by quantitative data and other qualitative achievements.
Innovation / Uniqueness
25%
Evaluation of innovative elements and the use of unique or transformative approaches that represent a significant breakthrough from conventional practices.
 
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
25%
Evaluation of the effectiveness in communicating with diverse stakeholders and the impact of its proactive initiatives to promote sustainability. This includes information sharing, feedback collection, professional training, internal and external engagement activities, and publicity campaigns.
 
Continuity & Scalability

20%
Evaluation of future development plans, focusing on the potential for long-term viability and expansion of scale to generate broader and more sustained impact.
 
 
 
Collaborative Project of the Year (Category 3)

Environmental Impacts
30%
Evaluation of the project's strategic goals and quantifiable performance, demonstrating how it effectively addresses environmental challenges and drives long-term positive impact.
  • Implementation (15%): Evaluation of the planning and execution of the Project, assessing its comprehensiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Impact and Outcomes (15%): Evaluation of environmental outcomes, which should be supported by quantitative data and other qualitative achievements.
Collaboration & Partnership
30%
Evaluation of how the project fosters proactive collaboration with stakeholders to create synergies, generating shared value and sustained benefits for all parties.
 
Social Impacts

20%
Evaluation of the project’s specific and long-term social impacts, such as health and well-being, social inclusivity, and ethical and fair practices.
 
Innovation / Creativity
20%
Evaluation of innovative elements or the use of unique or transformative approaches to deliver effective messaging and achieve outstanding project outcomes.
