Green Mall/ Shop of the Year

Submission Content

• Each submission is required to describe green measures in at least THREE aspects or above of the Six Green Aspects under HKGSA’s key environmental performance pledge.

• Content of the Six Green Aspects may include the following:
  • Demonstration of leadership commitment and strategic planning
  • Implementation of operational measures
  • Incorporation of sustainable design in-mall / in-shop
  • Installation of facilities in-mall / in-shop
  • Supply chain management
  • Launch of initiatives or programmes to support tenants and/or shoppers to implement the Six Green Aspects
  • Communication channels with relevant stakeholders
  • Provision of green products / services

• Entries may also describe other relevant green measures that fall outside the scope of the Six Green Aspects but can effectively demonstrate innovation or excellence and outperform other industry practitioners.

Collaborative Project of the Year

Submission Content

Each entry should describe one project of the year related to i) Circular Economy, or ii) Behavioural Change that demonstrates outstanding collaboration or partnership with other stakeholders and which has achieved a significant environmental and social impact. 
 

Guiding Questions

Circular Economy Project 

• Who is the project’s target audience?

• What are the project’s goals and how did the project achieve them?

• How is the project related to the development of a circular economy?

• What creative or innovative elements has the project demonstrated?

• How has the project enhanced resource efficiency and delivered material savings?

• What are the quantifiable and long-term environmental and social impacts that demonstrate the success of the project?

Behavioural Change Project

• Who is the project’s target audience?

• What environmental issue did this project aim to address or advocate, and how did the project achieve this?

• How does this project differ from conventional marketing campaigns?

• What behaviours were observed before and after the project?

• What creative or innovative elements has the project demonstrated?

• What are the quantifiable and long-term environmental and social impacts that demonstrate the success of the project?
